UPDATE 12:04 pm: Success! Gridworks’ (A. Bill Miller) suggestion is far more effective! It turns out changing the instance of Toggle to RadioButton in the program made for far less effective alterations in the effected image—essentially altering the program in a way that was invisible to me as I had suspected might ne the case. Using the older version of controlP5 as A. Bill Miller suggested seems to make for more glitching in less time. Thanks Bill!
UPDATE 11:54 am: So two solutions have been found to this problem so far. First, Gridworks (A. Bill Miller) wrote with a solution from Paul Hertz himself suggesting the use of an older version of the controlP5 library, version 5.4. This worked for him so I’ll go about trying this myself and with luck it’ll do trick. I also found some help in the Processing forums with a user suggesting I change the Toggle instance to RadioButton. I tried this approach and afterwards the program ran smoothly. I only worry that changing the Toggle definition in the code has effected the controls/program itself in a way I can’t see. I think running the old version of controlP5 might clear this up. More later.
Thanks to Gridworks for getting at me with his help!
So heres the problem, I’m trying to experiment with Paul Hertz's GlitchSort2 and I keep encountering this error which I don’t understand—Cannot convert from RadioButton to Toggle. I have some experience with Processing but not a whole lot, mostly basic animations and generating videos, so this program is way over my head as far as programming is concerned. Anyways I keep getting the error from the above screen shot. Has anyone else in tumblr land encountered this error and solved it? If so I’d be super grateful if you could respond or hit me off at jason.myles.irla at gmail dot com thanks!
FYI using the most current version of Processing 1.5.1 and have the ControlP5 library installed.
